TWO IDEAS, ONE DREAM

HOME-STYlE COOKING

Legacy of an empire

Puebla

Home of the Mole Poblano and abundant avocado species. It is  also the birthplace of the idea to establish Avocados Mexican Grill Restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.
Rene Rendon Ambrosio, one of the owners born in San Juan Llano Grande in Acatlan de Osorio Puebla, discovered a passion to prepare and create new dishes with the complex avocado fruit “the fruit of the Ancestors” as it is known.

Guerrero

Equivalently to Puebla, Guerrero is a magical Mexican state where the community still works the land with their bare hands to produce fresh crops that are transformed in the kitchen into an exquisite ancestral dish. Those dishes are created from a meticulous recipe that is often transferred to new enthusiastic generations who carry those values and share them anywhere they go.

Our Nesting Ground

New York  it’s been a blessing for many immigrants who arrive everyday to its shores looking for an opportunity to work, study or open a new business. Indeed,  Avocados Mexican Grill is a vivid example of those opportunities that this great state has to offer.  Entrepreneurs like Rene Rendon and Adan Ortega, who through hard work, sleepless nights and constant emphasis in learning the trade, were finally able to open their “homie nest” as they call their restaurant.
